About the event
This Summer we are running a day of forest school at a hugely reduced cost for the local community. There will be a blend of organised activities to teach skills - bushcraft, plant and animal identification and creative crafts. There will also be plenty of child led activities and games allowing them to develop strong bonds and get creative whilst learning about nature. Kids thrive in the outdoors. We have seen creative outdoor play help them to develop social skills, find calmness, adventure, and have a lot of fun! Get them off the screens and into the woods.
Who are these sessions for?
These Community Forest School sessions are subsidised to help make outdoor learning accessible to families who may otherwise find the cost a barrier.
They are intended for local families who are experiencing financial pressures, for example those who:
receive Free School Meals or Pupil Premium support;
